Review of the Crosman 2100 Air Rifle:

Good Points:
Accuracy, accuracy and accuracy. Oh, and fond memories

Bad Points:
All that pumping!!!! And the trigger is nasty.

General Comments:
The Crosman 2100 seems to be an update of the old 760/766. The 'air shotgun' idea was not new, it had been done using a Crosman 760 in the late 70's. 10 pumps is what Crosman recommend, though after an article in Airgun World by Rod Lynton, I would gently put 18 pumps in, which was supposed to be about 11.9 ft/lbs. Don't try to squeeze any more in, the valve just won't open and you won't get any more power. My suggestion is not to go more than 12 pumps as it will keep the gun from failing and is plenty of punch for hunting and target shooting. I love using .177 Beeman Silver Jets and Silver Sting Pellets with this gun.
